Design legend Alvar Aalto's asymmetrical waves ("aalto" in Finnish) have become a staple of Scandinavian interior design since winning the 1937 Paris World Fair. Inspired by his native Finnish landscape, the iconic design combines function and sculpture. Each unique bowl goes through a multi-step production process at the Iittala Glass Factory. The precious crystal is mouthblown then the pieces are hand cut before going through several polishings. The clear Aalto bowl is a fresh and contemporary addition to any table setting or home design.
